These Terms of Service govern your use of the Is It Halal? mobile application operated by Aztura Ltd ("we", "us", "our").
By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Is It Halal? provides tools to help users identify halal food products and restaurants. This includes barcode scanning, menu analysis, restaurant discovery, and community features.
While we strive for accuracy, halal status determinations are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any analysis, certification lookup, or ingredient classification. Always verify halal status directly with the restaurant or manufacturer if you have concerns. We are not a halal certification body.
You may create an account to access additional features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when registering.
You may submit restaurant information, reviews, and reports. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content within the app. You must not submit false, misleading, or offensive content.
Premium features are available via auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings.
Current pricing: Monthly (£0.99/month), Annual (£7.99/year). Prices may change with notice.
Free users receive a limited number of daily scans. Additional scans may be earned by watching advertisements. Scan limits may change at our discretion.
You must not: (a) use the app for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code; (c) abuse the API or automated scanning features; (d) submit fraudulent reports or reviews; (e) impersonate another person or entity.
All content, design, and code within the app is owned by Aztura Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without written permission.
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
The app uses third-party services including Google Maps, Google AdMob, and cloud-based analysis tools. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aztura Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time via the app's Profile settings.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
